just some random Vh1-style nostalgia of fall quarter 04!

-"awkward": a surprisingly useful word brought to us by Tulika. i.e. "how awwwwkward" and the "awkward" steps of Covel

-The Popcorn Craze: everyone used to make popcorn all the time and you could chase the smell of it down the hallway and get popcorn on a pretty much daily basis. What happened to the popcorn craze?

-The Cereal Craze: it was like, wow we can eat cereal any meal of the day! It's ALWAYS there! This is amazing! And it's STILL there as a meal alternative when De Neve fails to satisfty.

-"S.T." (sexual tension): a favorite topic of first quarter conversation. The ST became a "tornado" first quarter that swept down the hallway. In retrosprect, S.T. was the beginning of Mee Ko's obsession with abbrevs (abbreviations)

-hall parties: often the place to discuss S.T. or scream about any other topics like nor cal vs. so cal, old tv shows ("Boy Meets World," "Family Matters," "Fresh Prince"...and "ChiPs"?), and the stress of midterms/papers/finals.

-shower parties: ahh group nudity. well i guess we started doing everything together. Shower parties highly evolved so that now everyone has their preferred stall. (Sarah and the Peephole Shower...?) sorry the shower radio is broken :(

-Group Television Viewing: Vh1, The Daily Show, the OC, the 2004 presidential election...

-Dining Hall Caravans: the sad times when we can't find a place to sit and wander the dining hall in a conga line holding our trays of "turkey medallions" and "formaggio linguine with texas toast."

-Birthday Posters: so much fun getting high on marker fumes and cutting out giant sea creatures, arctic creatures, and giant fruit. D3 tags and pointy party hats!

-D Luv Notes: spreading the love! and now decorating everyone's walls :)

-iTunes: spreading the music!

-De Neve Kleptomania: it was such a rush trying to steal everything possible. Fruit, silverware, sauce, Rohini's collection of dessert glasses... Somehow the kleptomania has died down.

-Cult: don't question it--dinner at 6:30 and brunch by the grill. Otherwise everyone gets frazzled and chaos is unleashed.

I can't think of anything else at the moment. Anyone else want to say "I love first quarter?" thanks for making first quarter a blast!
